The Video Awards Winning Video for August

Every month at The Video Awards we will be naming our winners for the previous month and highlighting them on the winners' page. The winners are a mix of various videos posted here and voted by you. We've had an unofficial contest going on for August and have selected a single winner.

The first winner comes from our music video category and is an extremely talented group called 45 Degree Woman. Their video The Wait, was posted here and has received over 70 votes to date! The song is great and the video was very well done. Here's a warm congratulations to the band and best hopes for much success. We're glad they took to the time to share there video with us. Honarable Mentions and Staff Picks

We also wanted to highlight some other videos which didn't necessarily win in August but were popular in the previous months.

One additional group of short film directors are known as Invisible Engine Films and have made many short films but one in particular was a personal favorite. The film is called Dicks Out Tuxedos. Dicks Out Tuxedos is a funny short film about Jack Frenetics the Internet Entrepreneur. We would definitely recommend you to checkout their video here and other videos at their website.

Justin Lee, A.K.A. justlee, has posted many videos to TVA but one in general seemed to be number 1 for a while. The homemade movie Start Wearing Purple is an entertaining lip synching video.

Matt Pyrch was one of the first posters on TVA and his short films videos have been a favorite among many. In particular his video Boredom has been one of the popular ones. Congratulations to Matt and team!

The Weblog Project is a fun project which is the first open-source movie documentary about blogs and bloggers. A video entitled What is a blog - Remix, which attempts to explain what a blog is using the Jumpcut editing features, was posted at TVA and was enjoyed by many.
